With a very solid start to the season with 4 x 5-2 wins and a 6-1 win let's hope the success continues. 

The most recent game played was versus Knighton, with the team beating them 5 - 2. 

Their next challengers are Bishops Castle in a couple of weeks time.

Monday 1st October saw the first of many days of picking our juice apples.

With another 2-3 weeks of apple picking to go, they will soon be on there way for storage, and then crushed next Summer ready for Copella.

We would like to congratulate Rachel Griffiths on the birth of her second child, Charlotte.  Charlotte was born on the 20th January 2011 and weighed in at 6lb 5oz.

Our farm department are now busy lambing their 350 expectant ewes.  Every year we have one sheep called Blackie who always has tow lambs, a white and a black.... waiting to see this year what happens!

Well, within our range we have this unique sprung hardwood floor which is being carefully polished ahead of our busy Summer Season of weddings and parties.

Burgoynes Marquees were delighted to construct a Clearspan Marquee at the Three Counties Showground at malvern for the Energy Now Expo Event on 16th-17th February 2011.  The event was very sucessful for all concerned.

Titley Jazz Festival - July 31st - 1st Aug

Burgoynes (Lyonshall) Ltd are delighted to be providing the Marquees for Titley's first ever Jazz Festival! 

Taking place in the height of the British Summer - Titley Jazz Festival features some of the best modern jazz musicians in the country - The Alan Barnes Quintet, Stan Tracey, Peter King, Dave Newton and more.

The location is the wonderful Titley Junction which is one of those railway stations that period film producers love. It has a mile of track and a working stream engine and coaches - the perfect setting.

Royal Welsh Show 2010 Huge Success!

As always, the Agricultural Show held at Builth Wells on the 19th - 22nd July 2010 was a great success. 

With attendance figures hitting 231,346 over the 4 days, this is the 4th highest attendance since the show settled there 47 years ago. 

Burgoynes (Lyonshall) Ltd provided marquees galore at the showground! 

With rain and sunshine playing ball with one another, we were prepared with our Foreman on site in Wellies and Sunglasses!!

 Burgoynes Christmas Centenary Party a great  night!! 

Burgoynes (Lyonshall) Ltd held their Centenary Christmas Party on Saturday 12th December 2009. 

It was a fabulous night, and all guests enjoyed the evening. 

The theme was "dress to impress with a hint of green"

The DJ was fantastic, and with a Magician showing off his best tricks - what more could you ask for. 

We had pieces of string that were chopped up and miraculously managed to be in one piece at the end, compliment slips turning into £20 notes (wish we could all manage that trick!) and even levitation. 

We look forward to the next Party!! 

Vince Lloyd has been employed by Burgoynes (Lyonshall) Ltd for 22 years, and sadly passed away on the 17th November 2009 after a short battle with cancer. 

Vince will be greatly missed by us all and our thoughts are with his family and relatives at this time. 

Burgoynes v Brightwells Annual Cricket Match took place on Friday August 7th 2009 on a lovely warm summers evening.

Brightwells won the toss and inserted Burgoynes to bat first, who proceeded to make 170 for 6 wickets.

Chris Ball scored 40+ runs!

Brightwells then batted, and struggled from good bowling and fielding by the Burgoynes team, and finished up 33 runs short.

Many family and friends enjoyed a convivial evening and a good time was had by all.

We look forward to playing Brightwells again next year!

Burgoynes (Lyonshall) Ltd is pleased to announce we are working with Cemex UK Ltd, during these credit crunching times by supplying a marquee for Cemex where they will be holding their Open Day. The quarry is in South Wales (Taffs Wells) and supplies limestone into both Eastern and Western Wales. Burgoynes will be supplying our marquee services with full audio visual support and organising the catering requirements for the whole event.

We are pleased to be a part of a dynamic group, with Herefordshire's businesses getting together on a monthly basis to share ideas and views, about wanting to do better. We leave no stone unturned as Tim and Sharon Kidson lead this group.

Burgoynes (Lyonshall) Ltd are pleased to be supporting Almeley Cricket Club. An innovative way forward for sponsorship, with James Burgoyne voluntarily giving up his time to support both Burgoynes and Almeley Cricket Club with free labour. We wish Almeley Cricket Club every success for the year.

The dedication of Andrew Westlake and Phil Jenkins for completing this task is appreciated by Burgoynes and the organisers of Hay festival.

The first ever Annual Centenary Golf Day for Burgoynes staff took place on Saturday, at Kington Golf Course.
